My best affiliate program to join to make money (for any bloggers)

Affiliate marketing, ShareASale, monetize blog, blog tips,

* Please note that this post may contain affiliate links. This means that if you purchase something from that affiliate link, I will get a commission. I only recommend items that I use in my own business.

If you believe you need 100,000+ visitors on your site before you can monetize your blog, think again. Anyone  from any niche can make money with their blog.

I've been a blogger for four years, and I have always used affiliate marketing to monetize my blog. My previous blog provided  side income to grow my local business and  that time, I was working with specific retailers to monetize my blog.

However, a couple of weeks ago, I was looking at several bloggers’ income reports, and ShareASale was coming up as a top earning source, so I decided to give it a try. I wished I joined them sooner. As soon as I applied  to some of their affiliate links, I started earning income. In fact, less than 72 hours after I add a couple links, I made 32$.

ShareASale less than 72 hours

The best part about ShareASale is that you can make money just by sending leads to a merchant. Some merchants pay-per-lead and also give a payout if the person purchases something. Also, after I applied for a few of the programs, they offered me extra income just for adding the link to my site within a certain time frame, or for writing an article about their products. Because, all the companies I signed up for are providing products or services that I use currently or used in the past, I was glad to write an article about them.  I recommend only applying for  companies that you like and trust. You don't want to promote products that you have never used. Your readers will stop trusting you, and this is the worst thing that can happen for a blogger.

What is ShareASale?

ShareASale is an affiliate marketing network where  you can promote products and earn a commission for referring those products. ShareASale has over 3,900 merchants from different categories (fashion, art, food, kids, personal finance and much more). No matter what kind of blog you have, you can find a company that will interest your audience.

After a couple of days, you will receive an email with a link to confirm that you are the owner of the site. Simply, add  the code in the <head> section of your website.

Search for merchants

After you integrate the code, you will want to apply for an affiliate company that interests your audience. Always have your readers in mind when you apply to any affiliate. You can search for a merchant program that interests you in the top bar and apply to their program. You will receive a response quickly. Most companies will send their response within 2-3 days. Always read the merchant policy before proceeding.

Other feature

One great feature that I like about ShareASale is that you can view your earnings daily. You can see which link on your website your audience register to the affiliate link. This feature alone offers great feedback. You can see day-to-day which product interests your audience the most.

With ShareASale, the minimum payout amount is 50$, but believe me, it  shouldn’t take you long before you reach your first fifty dollars.

Why do I like ShareASale?

One thing that I like about ShareASale is how quickly everything falls into place. You don't have to wait too long to get a response from the merchant you apply to. Also, ShareASale has an easy to navigate interface. With  one click you can see if something needs to be fixed or managed.

Tips to increase your affiliate earning

Always have your audience in mind

Before you apply to any affiliate program, always have your audience in mind. Why do your readers come to your site? Make sure the affiliate company you are promoting provides a solution to your audience's problems. The more relevant the ads are, the more likely your audience will use it. Don't promote a company just to make an income. You want you to affiliate link to be as a gift or extra tip you give to your audience. You want them to appreciate that you shared this valuable company with them.

Provide value for your readers

Make sure your blog post is filled with great content before you hit publish. Don't just create a mediocre blog post and fill your post with affiliate links. Give great value, and people will be more likely to click on the link you suggest. Your content should always be your priority.

Less is more

Don't fill your blog with ads and affiliate links. You want your readers to read your content not be distracted by ads that pop up everywhere. When I land on a blog with a lot of advertisements, I usually leave the site. I can't read and concentrate on the content if I'm being solicited from different companies. Instead, choose one or three affiliates program per blog. Make sure those programs are relevant to your blog post.

Be patient

Affiliate revenue with grows with time. Remember that some programs offer lifetime payouts. Which mean if you make 15% of the sale and the program is renewed every year, this can add up. Also, over the months, you will probably increase your traffic, which means a higher  probability of increasing your income.

Disclosing affiliate links

Always, Always have a disclosing affiliate link before you share a link to any affiliate program.
